Changing from one size to another is as quick and easy as a push of a button. Simply select one of the stored memories, load the book in the clamp, and press the size change key to initiate the process. The side glue wheels, scoring wheels, and cover positioning guide will automatically move into the desired position, according to the thickness of the loaded book. Once the size change is completed, covers can be loaded into the cover feed section which provides controls where the operator can make and verify any adjustments aligning it with the nipping section.

The single-clamp Duplo DPB-500 PUR Perfect Binder is ideal for binding books printed on digital and coated stocks. The PUR glue provides a high pull-strength, ensuring each page is firmly bound and can be opened flat without any risk of page detachment.

The closed tank system offers huge cost and productivity benefits compared to open-tank systems as it does not require draining after each session which incurs wasted material and downtime. The pfiBIND 2000 PUR Perfect Binder is the world's smallest PUR perfect binder designed for short-run production. With a speed of up to 290 cycles per hour, the single-clamp pfiBIND 2000 PUR features a user-friendly, color LCD touchscreen and a closed-tank, patented Orbital PUR system that provides accurate glue application on the spine and the side.

The PUR nozzle consists of two circular orbits with a slot on each. When the sensor near the nozzle detects the book block, the slot on both orbits align and the PUR glue is precisely and accurately applied. When the book block moves away, the slot on the inner orbit moves and seals the PUR glue. The inner nozzle shuts off or switches on the PUR glue with extreme speed and accuracy while maintaining constant pressure and benchmarking the quality.

The pfiBIND 2000 PUR Perfect Binder is equipped with a motorized, heavy-duty milling and notching tool. The spine preparation tool takes off 0.5mm from the spine of the book block and roughens the spine surface ready for the glue application.

The user-friendly and automatic DB-290 Perfect Binder brings professional perfect binding to your desktop. Producing up to 200 books per hour, the DB-290 is ideal for short-run, on-demand applications.

With the automated performance and other outstanding features typically reserved for more expensive machines, this perfect binder provides centrally-located controls for single-operator efficiency. Simply place flat sheets into the clamp where pages are gripped automatically and the binding process begins. A double pass over the roughening cutter provides superior notching for superb glue penetration. Its clamping and nipping system ensure consistent square binds.

The DB-290 Perfect Binder offers easy changeover to tape binding and two different tapes sizes are available. THE EXPLORE is a fully-automated PURfect binding machine. A color touch screen facilitates the ease of set up via an automatic book thickness gauge. The book size, the clamp, with an integrated jogger, and the nipper then adjust automatically.

The milling blade is specifically designed for PUR binding and is adjustable from 0 – 1/8” (3 mm). The blade is comprised of triangular, rotating teeth which triples the life of the blade. The glue (PUR or EVA) is applied by a nozzle connected to a pressurized tank with separate nozzles for side gluing. The 4.4 Lb. (2 Kg) glue slugs can be switched out effortlessly. The machine includes an automatic cleaning tank which makes end of the day clean up a breeze.

The Explore includes an automatic cover feeder with a creaser. The cover feeder and scoring blades set up automatically through the color touch screen. The nipper dwelling time is adjustable.

There are two glue pots, one for side gluing and one with twin glue rollers which allows for an even glue application as does a third, metering roller to smooth out the glue. The extra heavy duty roughing blade ensures the binding of coated, oil infused, and UV coated stock.
